COLOTRUST (Colorado Local Government Liquid Asset Trust) is Colorado’s original and largest pooled investment trust in the state. Designed specifically for Colorado local governments, COLOTRUST began operations on January 1, 1985 and has current assets over $7 billion. The purpose of COLOTRUST is to provide Colorado local governments with convenient short-term investment opportunities carefully chosen to optimize interest earnings while at the same time maximizing safety and liquidity. COLOTRUST offers two funds: PRIME and PLUS+. Both programs carry a ‘AAAm’ rating from Standard and Poor’s. The Board of Trustees is comprised of 12 members of the pool who have been elected by the participants to oversee the management of COLOTRUST.
